Morning Thunder

This is the first piece I created for Celestial Seasonings. As it turns out I was already a big fan of Morning Thunder Tea, and would even steep two bags in a cup for the extra kick! It was especially gratifying when I was chosen to update this brand identity.

These two pieces were created to promote Chocolate Caramel Enchantment and the entire line of Organic Teas.

Culinary Spices

The entire line of food seasoning spices I illustrated. These were a lot of fun to do, and I used many friends, family and myself as models. ThatÂ’s me as an Elvis impersonator, and as a gondolier!

French Roastaroma; Vanilla Hazelnut; Caramel Mocha; Morning Thunder; and Decaf Morning Thunder. This series of work appeared in The 2008 Communication Arts Illustration Annual, and I was awarded a Gold Medal from The Society of Illustrators of NY for the image of the tropical bird in 2009.

Sleepytime

I continue to have a long and enjoyable relationship with Celestial Seasonings, creating over 60 pieces for packaging and promotion of various products, most of which can be seen in this gallery. I was pleased to have the opportunity to update and recreate their famous Sleepytime Bear icon for Sleepytime Throat Tamer Tea.

I had a great time doing this edition of Sleepytime Tea, which is their first product created for children. In a shameless act of self promotion, I even framed one of my own pieces for the rear wall!

It's pretty cool that when you pull up to the entrance, Morning Thunder is one of the first thing you see. The tour of the facilities should not be missed if you are ever in the area!
